The Metropolitan Cathedral-Basilica of the Assumption of Our Lady of Valencia, also known as Saint Mary's Cathedral or Valencia Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic parish church in Valencia, Spain. Despite its grand name, it has one of the oddest entries ever! Instead of a splendid facade dominating the square on which it sits, the entry seems tucked into the corner of the square. Nevertheless, it is still an impressive Baroque facade. The Plaze de la Reina in front is usually bustling but is quiet in the early morning hours. The interior is a mix of artistic styles, ranging from the early Romanesque, Valencian Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical. A treasure within is one of the supposed Holy Chalices which has been defended as the true Holy Grail.
