Mount Baker is one of a number of inactive volcanoes in the Cascade Mountains of the Northwest. Its snowy peak is flanked by glacial ice and evergreen trees. Long blue shadows creep across the snow fields at the base of the mountain.
The original painting was created with oil paints on a 16x20 inch stretched canvas.
