This 16x20 inch landscape from original prairie field painting provided me an opportunity to celebrate the rural roots of the American countryside. I love the colors, the soft breezes, and the idea of leisure time in the open air. The meadow displays an amazing array of color from golden yellow, to orange, green, and even deep lavender if you look close enough. The first impression of this landscape is that it is empty with few trees and little variation in scenery, but when you take a closer look, it is clear that the textures and colors of the countryside are immense and diverse.
The original painting was created with acrylic paints on a stretched canvas.
