Artist's Description
As a child I lived in Alaska. It is a wonderful state full of natural surprises and wildlife everywhere. One of my earliest memories was a family outing where we would go to the local garbage dump, park the car, and watch the bears rummage through the trash looking for food. They were quite a distance away, but it was fascinating to watch their lumbering movements and curious actions. It is not surprising that these ponderous creatures are a common subject for legend and mythology.
The original painting was created with oil paint on a 6x6 inch canvas. It now makes its home with a buyer from New Jersey.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
