Artist's Description
The colors of the Southwestern United States emerged in this cruciform designed collage painting. Painted paper, ink, charcoal and acrylic mediums combined into the brightly colored abstract pattern of red, blue, and orange. The warmth of the cross contrast well with the dashes of turquoise and teal. Scribbles, splotches, and texture add a contemporary feel to this traditional Christian religious symbol.
The original work was created on a 9x12 inch canvas.
