Description
The original painting for this print was created on a 24x30 inch gallery canvas using acrylic paints. The inspiration came after a mountain bike riding accident in which I fractured my tibia. There was a lot of fire and ice going on. I was angry because of the injury making for a pretty hot disposition and kept trying to cool down my feisty temperament. The fracture literally burned and I was constantly putting a big bag of ice on it. Creating this large contemporary abstract painting was soothing for a soul full of fire and ice. Big brushes and big strokes of the paintbrush helped to move it out of my head and onto the canvas. In case you need to know, about seven weeks for it to heal.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
