Layers of transparent paint, both transparent and opaque work together with layers of foil to create this abstract mixed media design. Warm hues of red, orange, and yellow contrast with the neutral background to reveal an inverted cruciform. The composition is both bold and subtle.
The original work was created on an 18x24 inch stretched canvas with acrylic paints and foil. The 1-3/8 inch sides are painted black so it can be hung with or without a frame.
