This is a painting of the lighthouse in Dingle, Ireland. It was re-created in oil paints on a 12x12 inch gallery canvas. Although I have never been there, I was lucky enough a few years ago to have access to a large collection of photos that my daughter took on a recent trip. This one really caught my eye as looking so pleasant and comfortable. The sun was out, but the air was still cool. I could imagine the damp air and the warming sun as I gazed at this delightful structure. The landscape appears serene at this nautical seashore.
Update: I finally was able to visit this lighthouse, ten years after I painted it! So lovely and just as I imagined it.
