Red is my favorite color and I love to play with textures. This is a mixed media painting that incorporates both. Crackle paste, fiber paste, fabric, and lots of paint all worked together to create this abstract work that I call Morning Grit. It is both fresh, like the morning, and gritty like the streets. Red, white, purple, and a tinge of blue support the design.
The original painting was created on a 16x20 inch stretched canvas using acrylic paints, acrylic mediums, and cloth fibre.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
