Description

The San Juan Islands are located in the Pacific Northwest just North of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It is a series of islands that is known for resident Orca pods and outdoor recreation. The shoreline is often rocky and as the tide moves in and out, a multitude of sea life exposed. This painting was inspired by a rocky ledge on the edge of one of the islands that dot the archipelago.
