This abstract painting was inspired by the colors of the Southwestern United States. Orange, turquoise, and red worked together to create the texture and focus of the landscape. Lines and shapes create the sense of a contemporary landscape. Layers of paint delineate the warmth of the sun and the cool of the soil, and the horizon stretches in the distance.
