Mixing representational and non-representational ideas that result in colorful abstraction is one of my favorite approaches to painting. When I created this painting, my idea was to begin with the representation of a few isolated trees on in a vast meadow. I wanted to emphasize the textures of the grass and the flora that made up the foreground. Using acrylic paints with blending and drip technique resulted in this bright painting that reminds me of what might appear if a slice of the earth could be seen.
The original painting was created on an 11x14 inch stretched canvas using professional grade acrylic paints.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
