Washington State's Skagit County is a hub of the tulip industry. Each spring the Skagit County Tulip Festival is celebrated. The air is cool and crisp and the likelihood of damp weather is high, but it is a wonderful sight to tour the fields of gorgeous colored blooms. This original oil painting was inspired by the fields of the Skagit Valley during tulip season when it is damp and rainy and the color reminds all Northwesterners that spring is here and the rains will end.
The original painting was created on an 8x10 inch stretched canvas with professional grade oil paints.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
