Reading Jack London stories and a past life in the wilds of Alaska all contributed to the creation of this abstract landscape painting. I imagined the cold of winter snowfall in a dark forest where wolves range free. A textured canvas, a palette knife, and a liberal application of paint were part of my process. Brushing, scraping, and scrumbling helped the scene emerge.
The original painting was created on a 16x20 inch stretched canvas with acrylic paints and paper.
