An island of trees on Lake Cushman on the edge of the Olympic Mountains in Washington State inspired this original landscape oil painting. The lake was formed when a dam was built along the Skokomish River. The evergreen trees of the Pacific Northwest contrast with beautiful deciduous trees that are beginning to show a tinge of fall color.
