The shapes of utensils from my kitchen inspired the start of this abstract watercolor painting. Layers of color help the shapes grow and recede in the colorful design. Bold red and yellow primaries contrast with greens. The work emerged intuitively and reminded me of the way spices combine when cooking creating a new taste. The ideas blended and the title "Kitchen Studio" stuck in my head.
The original painting was created with professional grade watercolors on paper.
