A2 pastel pencil commissioned drawing. This horse stars in the film 'The Hobbit', she is a beautiful example of the gypsy cob and is so gentle when this little autistic boy is around her, apparently they have a very special relationship. It looks like they are having a chat almost, but in fact Chi the horse had an itch and Ashton looked down to see what she was doing. I am pleased with how this has turned out and the customer is delighted too. I really enjoyed working on this despite it being a nightmare of a job keeping the white pastel dust off the black. The horse is Harkers Romani Chi, owned by Katherine Davies, Romany Cobs NZ.
