Description
This image is based on my original 16x20 inch oil painting. It was inspired by the colors of autumn and memories of hunting pheasants with my father. The air is cool, the grass is wet, and you can see your breath when you whisper to your hunting partner. Then, with a quick wag of his tail, the setter flushes the birds from their hiding places. It is hard to see the female birds as they blend in with the fall foliage and dried grass, but the males are gorgeous with their brightly colored feathers and a distinctive white ring around their necks. They strut like they rule the world, but with the snap of a twig, the click of a trigger, or the rustle of leaves they are off.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
