This is the first in a series of abstract paintings I titled, "Distractions." Many people in today's society apply a connotation of negative annoyance to distractions. Distractions are things that keep us from accomplishing our goals. They become irritations, but this series is about how distractions can create happiness. Using art, or music, or exercise as an intentional distraction can function in a positive manner, helping us keep our minds off of those things about which we can do nothing and focusing in a positive manner on something beautiful and inspiring.
