If you have ever visited Venice Beach on the California coastline, you know it is a circus of color and activity. There are artists, vendors, tourists, locals, surfers, swimmers, skateboarders, bicyclists, and body builders to name a few of the regulars. Recently as I took an afternoon walk down the boardwalk that parallels the beach and spotted this display of flip flops. The color and repetition seemed like a metaphor for this beachfront neighborhood. If you haven't visited this community and have a chance, it is just a whole lot of fun. Take the opportunity.
