Sitting on the edge of a slow moving creek and contemplating whether fishing would be a possibility, I was inspired instead to paint. The original painting was created on canvas with oil paints. I tried to capture the contrast of the deep forest color and the sunlight on the leaves of the nearby tree, the rocky shoreline, and the reflection all became a part of the composition.
