Artist's Description

Mixing representational subjects and abstraction is one of my favorite approaches to painting. This acrylic landscape painting began in a fairly traditional manner. I used both brushes and a palette knife to create the background and the trunk of the tree. Then when it came to the foreground, the surface shouted for a little abstraction. The resulting inspiration was colorful dribbles of paint. I like the texture and the unexpected results.

The original painting was created on an 8x10 inch stretched canvas with professional grade acrylic paints.

I have been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
