There are several clumps that roar to life each spring, grow voraciously all summer, and then provide lovely white flowers with yellow centers in the late summer. In the Pacific Northwest, even people that can't grow anything else would be able to grow a Shasta Daisy. It was these durable and dependable flowers that inspired this painting.
