One of my favorite approaches to painting is to combine the realistic with the abstract. This painting was inspired by an alpine meadow in the Cascade Mountains of the Pacific Northwest. In early summer, wildflowers bloom, the grasses are full strength, and the air is fresh and full. The meadows provide energy and creativity to poets, artists, and lovers.
This work was created on a 9x12 inch stretched canvas with paper, acrylic paints, and mediums.
