Artist's Description
This painting is based on the face of an old rooster who struts around crowing all day. No one pays attention to him and everyone just wants him to be quiet. He's the reason roosters can no longer live in the city limits of most towns; he's just a noisy old nuisance, but everyone still loves him. His red comb contrasts well with the cool gray of the background and he stares at all passersby with that big yellow eye. His golden beak is sharp and he can put up a mean fight in spite of his age and thinning feathers.
The original painting was created on a 18x24 inch gallery canvas with professional grade oil paints. The painting extends around the edge of the canvas, so framing is optional.
I've been selling originals and reproductions of my work online since 2007. People all over the world have purchased my art and it is wonderful to connect with so many.
