Artist's Description

Hiking during the winter months provides the adventurer with sights that remain hidden during the summer. Few people are trekking in the woods and up the trails and the silence and beauty are intensified by the emptiness of the outdoors. It was a winter walk in the woods that inspired this painting which was originally completed in oil paints on canvas.
